Emergency Water Removal
The first step of flood clean-up is water extraction. Using our truck-mounted, state-of-the-art equipment, we will get all the water out of your home or business as quickly as possible to salvage items and reduce costs. Mold can begin growing in damp areas within 24 hours.
Drying & Dehumidification
Once we extract the standing water, we remove the moisture that has been absorbed by the wood, sheetrock, and other materials. This is essential to prevent mold and mildew that could structurally damage the home or building. CT Restoration uses air movers, dehumidifiers, and other drying techniques to remove all excess moisture in the air and dry porous surfaces. Using moisture detection and monitoring equipment, CT Restoration checks the progress of your home or structure daily to ensure it is drying to reach its drying goals.
Clean Up and Removal of Damaged Materials
Every flooded part of your home will need to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. CT Restoration will start the process by cleaning the walls, beginning at the bottom, where the worst damage usually is. Often the sheetrock, plaster, or panels will not come clean and will need to be removed and replaced. Likewise, if carpets and flooring are unsalvageable, they will have to be removed and replaced. CT Restoration cleans and disinfects where possible. If tear out and removal are necessary, we will work with your insurance company and guide you through the process to get your home or business back to pre-loss condition.
